  • As the flow front comes forward, the MeltSwitch is closed which completes a circuit so that the molded parts can be repeatably filled and packed.

  • Variation in check ring shut-off, material viscosity, and other sources involving the machine & material can contribute to part variation.  The MeltSwitch can reduce this variation when compared to the use of injection screw position or cavity pressure sensors.

  • The MeltSwitch is installed in the clamp plate, behind an ejector pin.  Two wires are simply attached to the assembly to make the connection to the molding machine or external controller.

  • If the trigger signal needs to be delayed after the melt closes the MeltSwitch, the MeltSwitch Controller can delay the trigger using time or screw position
